HER Africa supports women and communities in Nigeria through practical projects that create opportunity, dignity, and long-term change.
What we do
HER Africa works alongside communities in Nigeria to address the barriers that limit women and families from thriving.
Our projects focus on:
economic empowerment for women
access to health, water, and sanitation
education and practical skills training
We believe lasting change happens when women are supported with real tools, not short-term solutions.
Our Current Focus: Orekelewa Bakery
The Orekelewa Bakery project was created to provide women in Epe with stable income, practical skills, and a pathway to financial independence.
The bakery is now operational and training is underway. To complete the project, we are working towards:
upgrading essential kitchen equipment
installing solar power to replace unreliable generators
This project is a cornerstone of HER Africa’s work and will support women and their families for years to come.
Our impact
“Our community is stronger and more united because of these projects. It’s about more than just water and toilets; it’s about dignity and respect”
— Community Leader
“My children do not have to walk miles to get water before school anymore”
— Community member
“I used to walk long distances to fetch water. Now my children don’t have to do the same. Its not just about convenience; it’s about their health and education.”
— Epe Mother
Our Projects
Make a Difference
When you support women and girls, entire families and communities thrive.
A donation to HER Africa supports practical projects with long-term impact — not temporary fixes.
Supporting Partners
